Great Tasting Gifts?

[Photo of the Day] A Western fast food joint in Thailand

A short time ago, we were walking through a mall in Bangkok (great places to go if you like icy cold air-con and a deafening ambient din) when suddenly we stopped in our tracks, looked up and saw this restaurant. Instantly we shared the same thought: "Rob Emmerson." For those who don't know him yet, Mr. Robert Emmerson III just started his own blog The Dread Pirate Robert. We're expecting to see great things from it! Perhaps in the vein of this photograph? Rob has his own special brand of humour and we thought this might particularly appeal to it. We also figured a public outting of his blog would encourage him to write more, and more, and more... (his wife is off the hook for the moment since there's a little something that's more pressing sucking her time lately).

Anyone care to comment? We're all eyes & ears!

So, what was the food like?

Yikes. A guy makes one comment and now his not-ready-for-mass-consumption blog gets outed. I mean, I haven't even run it by the Spelling Police yet (btw Cindy, "ambient") and it's clearly called a "test post." Sigh. Well, now that it's out there, you'll have to tell me how you got yours to look so good and where you got those cool little toys on the sidebar. And even worse, I'll have to write another one. Meanwhile, just go and poke Erin for a bit. She's almost ready to post another entry.
Can't wait to see you!

ROB - Wake up, man! This is the big break you've been waiting for. You've been noticed, singled out, and highly praised on a blog that has received over 800 unique visitors! Your exposure is global! Seize the day!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe you pointed out my (Cindy's)terrible spelling so publically! [Or maybe I should include more spelling errurs to illisit more commnts.]

Hey Rob,

The best (or worst?) thing about the goodies on the sidebar is that they all have links to their respective authors / sites. Where it's not obvious, just take a look in the source code, the credit will be in there. With respect to the spelling -- I'll have to keep better tabs on my wonderful wife -- such are the perils of collaboative writing (grin)! I have to say though that she did perform as a true co-writer / editor might, making the original content of the post better reflect its original intention!
