Grandma's Flowers

[Photo of the Day] Grandma's Flowers

In Poland, it is customary to bring a small token whenever going to visit family or friends, especially if you haven't visited in some time. Typically, this token will amount to a box of chocholates, a nice bottle of some sort of alcohol (though not in our case!), or our personal favourite -- flowers. In Mokotow, the neighbourhood where Jan's Grandma lives, there are a plethora of very small-scale flower merchents, at least one on almost every major street corner. It's amazing to see, and adds a lot to the distinctive grayness that Warsaw maintains even after more than a decade of modernization.

Thanks for taking a look! We do, but so far the only photo there is the Puncak one. It will take some time to make that gallery!
