New Yorkers are Lucky

We want to tell you all about a great live show starting in NY today,
December 19 running until December 24. We know the inside scoop on this one because a few good friends of ours are involved with it and looks amazing!

It's the NTDTV Holiday Wonders Show

A little preview... looks great doesn't it?!

Click on the link and scroll down a bit - there's a short clip from it that'll give you a good flavor of what it's all about (note the removal of the 'u' from flavour to reach out to our American-based audience here). The show celebrates traditional Chinese arts - with a modern flare - but there's a little bit of Jewish in there too (which is only appropriate given the number of Jews that go out for Chinese food on Xmas): Goria Feidman will be performing on Dec 23 & 24. He performed the clarinet solos for Schindler's List's Academy Award winning soundtrack and is renowned for his tango, jazz, classical and of course, Klezmer clarinet playing (bit 'o trivia: he started his career as the the Israel Philharmonic's youngest ever clarinetist - 18 years later, he went solo).

Cool! I think they're in Vancouver later also... hm, am I right? I was thinking of splurging and taking the girls, they would LOVE it!! Ha- about growing up in such a diverse city- they claim Chinese New Year and Diwali as their rightful, treat-filled holidays. Yesterday, Daisy asked me [insert whining voice], "Why aren't we Jewish?" You know where this comes from, of course... "gelt"! Happy Hannukah from the wannabees!

Hey Steph. You are right. It's coming to Vancouver and Toronto (and some other places around the world). We should probably mention that in another post. It's not just New Yorkers who're lucky. We were given the DVD of last year's show and honestly, it's truly spectacular. You and the girls would love it (and the Hub too)! As for Hannukah gelt, I think I still have the yearly silver dollar my grandmother would give me in a box in a drawer somewhere. As a kid, I was much more interested in the chocolate version. Now that was some tasty gelt! Happy holidays to all of you too --
