In the Land of the Vikings

Cindy and Jan have parted ways for a little while, though always together in mind and spirit. Jan heads to Europe for a series of activities there, including the 61st UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva, preceded by a month's stay in Poland. Cindy will continue with her work in Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as in Thailand. We'll rendez-vous again in Canada again in a few months.

Meanwhile, Jan has made a brief stop in Bodo, Norway, to visit with the Chinese refugees that were recently repatriated to Norway from Thailand. If you missed that, please look here. There's a great human interest story to be written here, which Jan is happily taking on.

The eight refugees arrived from Thailand only to find that two others, who had come from Japan with their two-year-old son, had settled in the area six months prior.

Happy to be in Bodo, the refugees pose for a shot
