Chicago Baseball Fervour

Jan is in Chicago for a few days, for a rare "Jekielek boys" get-together -- father and 2 sons. As it happens, the city is alive with baseball frevour as the Chicago White Sox play their first world series games in many years.

The last time that the *Chicago* White Sox won the world series was in 1917. In 1919, the team again made it into the world series, but lost, and soon thereafter the players ended up being banned for life after allegations emerged that they "threw" the series in exchange for payment from the mob. They have been winless in the world series since.

Hey there, guys! Hope you're doing splendiferously well.

I just wanted to share with you an interesting story. One of the moms in my parent & baby group is an industrial designer who went to Emily Carr and worked on this VERY COOL thesis project:

Seems like the kind of thing you'd be interested in learning about and sharing with other cool people...

Love you both! xoxox
